Puppy and Kitten Care“If our pets need just a check-up or have more serious health issues, every vet, every technician, even the receptionist is part of a compassionate, caring team providing the best care possible….” — The Tweedy family

Puppy and Kitten Care: New Pets Get a Healthy Start at Redwood Veterinary Hospital in Vallejo, CA

Young pets are such a joy, but they have many needs in the first year of life. Protecting them from disease and parasites can be a full-time job, especially if you have outdoor pets or those that come in contact with others in such venues as training classes, boarding or day care facilities, and dog play parks.

The professionals of Redwood Veterinary Hospital are committed to giving your puppy or kitten a strong start. To facilitate this, we offer every owner of a puppy or kitten our Well Puppy or Well Kitten Package. The staff of Redwood Veterinary Hospital recommends that every pet owner consider pet health insurance. This is especially true for puppies and kittens when they are young and healthy, before they may develop “preexisting medical conditions” that might be excluded from coverage if purchased later on. We discuss pet health insurance in our payment options section, and have prepared a very helpful Pet Health Insurance Packet, to support you in making the best decision about pet insurance for your family.
